Metadata is written directly to JPG/JPEG files and does not require separate data management files such as CSV, JSON or TXT.

HOW TO USE:
1. First-Time Setup: Getting Your Free API Key (Required)

The app uses Google's AI to analyze your images. To enable this, you need a Free Google Gemini API Key.

1. Go to the menu Settings > Enter/Change Gemini API Key....
2. A new window will pop up. Click the "Get Free Gemini API" button to open the Google AI Studio website.
3. Follow the instructions on the Google website to create and copy your free API key.
4. Paste the key into the input box in the app and click OK.
5. The app is now ready to use! You only need to do this once.
   

2. How to Use: The Main Workflow

Step 1: Add Your Images

• Drag & Drop: Drag image files or folders directly onto the list on the left.
• Buttons: Use the "Add Images" or "Add Folder" buttons to select your photos.

Step 2: Set Processing Options (Optional but Recommended)Before you start, look at the "Processing Options" at the bottom-left:

• Context for all images: Add a general note that applies to all photos in the list, for example: "street photography in Hanoi" or "shot during a summer festival". This helps the AI be more accurate.
• Editorial Mode: Check this box if your images are for editorial use (news, events).
  • You must enter a Location (e.g., Paris, France).
  • The date will be read automatically from your image's metadata. The final description will be formatted like: LOCATION DATE - Description...
• Include filename for context: Check this to let the AI use your filename (e.g., girl_baking_cake.jpg) as an extra clue. It will ignore generic names like DSC_1234.jpg.

Step 3: Start Processing

• Free Version: Select a single image from the list that you want to process.
• Paid Version: You can process all images in the list at once (batch processing).
• Click the big green "Start Processing" button.

The app will now analyze each image, generate a title, description, and 49 keywords, and automatically write this data directly into the image file's metadata. You can watch the progress in the log window on the right.

⚠️ Important Notes

• Original Files are Modified: The app writes metadata directly to your original image files. It's always a good practice to work on copies of your photos.
• Internet Connection: An active internet connection is required for the AI processing to work.
